Saint Jude is remembered as a faithful apostle, preacher of the Gospel, witness of Christ, and companion of the early Church.
Saint Jude Thaddeus was chosen by Jesus as one of the Twelve Apostles. He followed Christ, heard His teachings, and shared in the mission of proclaiming the Kingdom of God.
The flame above Saint Jude symbolizes Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and strengthened them for mission.
The faithful ask Saint Jude’s intercession especially in difficult, desperate, and seemingly impossible situations, trusting that God can bring light into darkness.
Devotion to Saint Jude is not worship of the saint. Catholics ask his intercession, trusting that all grace and help come from God.
Saint Jude is invoked by many faithful during moments of despair, fear, illness, family problems, financial burdens, and spiritual struggles. His title as patron of impossible causes reminds us that Christian hope is not based on human strength alone, but on God’s mercy and providence.
When Catholics pray through Saint Jude, they ask him to pray with them and for them before God. The devotion leads the faithful to deeper trust in Jesus Christ, greater perseverance in prayer, and renewed confidence that God listens to His people.
The Feast of Saint Jude Thaddeus is celebrated every October 28, together with Saint Simon the Apostle. This celebration honors their apostolic mission, courage, and faithful witness to Christ.
May the life and intercession of Saint Jude Thaddeus inspire every pilgrim, family, and devotee of Saint Jude Thaddeus Mission Station to remain faithful in prayer, courageous in trials, and hopeful in the mercy of God.
